Marketplace fit: Claid.ai exports above Amazon's 1,600px minimum and 2,000px recommendation, and well within Shopify's 5,000×5,000 ceiling. Amazon additionally requires AI-generated imagery to be labeled and prohibits it as the main listing image.

What Claid.ai does

Claid.ai is a product-image production platform: background replacement, upscaling, batch cleanup and on-model generation in one place. Entry pricing starts at $9 per month, and its credit model charges 4 to 24 credits per image depending on the operation, which works out to roughly $0.09 to $0.50 per image.

Breadth over depth

With 100+ AI models available and native 4K output, Claid covers more image operations than any dedicated try-on tool in this test. That breadth is the point. Sellers with a messy real-world pipeline, where half the SKUs need a background fix and only some need an on-model treatment, get more value from one platform than from stitching three together.

Try-on quality specifically

On our garment set, on-model output was competent rather than exceptional. Simple solid-color garments rendered cleanly. Patterned fabric drifted more than FASHN.ai or Nightjar, and fine text on the logo tee degraded in roughly half the runs. Model consistency across a batch was the weakest of the four leaders.

The credit-model caveat

Because different operations cost different credit amounts, the headline per-image figure is unreliable until you know your own operation mix. A run that is mostly upscaling will look cheap. A run that is mostly on-model generation with retries will not. Budget from your own measured mix, not from the marketing figure.

How Claid.ai scored, dimension by dimension

Claid.ai takes a 7.8/10 composite, built from five weighted sub-scores. The heaviest weight sits on garment fidelity because a beautiful model rendering with a broken print is an unusable image.

  • Garment Fidelity 30% weight 7.6/10

How faithfully prints, seams, logos and fabric texture survive the transfer onto a generated model.

  • Model Consistency 20% weight 7.4/10

Whether the same model identity, pose family and lighting can be reproduced across a whole catalog.

  • Cost per Usable Image 25% weight 8.0/10

Published price divided by the share of generations that passed our usable-output check.

  • Batch & API 15% weight 8.5/10

Bulk upload, queue throughput, API access and native storefront integrations.

  • License Clarity 10% weight 7.8/10

How plainly the commercial usage rights and AI-labelling obligations are documented.

What works and what breaks

Strengths

  • +One subscription covers a mixed image pipeline; cheap entry point; native 4K without an upsell; API available

Limitations

  • On-model fidelity trails the dedicated engines; patterned fabric drifts; weakest model consistency of the top tier; credit cost varies 4-24 per image which makes budgeting unreliable

Key features

  • 100+ AI models; native 4K output; background replacement and upscaling alongside try-on; batch processing; API access

Claid.ai pricing and value

Claid.ai starts at from $9/mo. That works out to about $0.09 to $0.50/image depending on operation at typical volume. Against human production at $25–$75 per basic listing image and $100–$500+ per lifestyle image, the arithmetic favours AI at volume — but only once keeper rate is factored in.

Final verdict

Claid.ai: 7.8/10

Claid.ai is a broad product-imagery platform that happens to include on-model generation. If your actual problem is a mixed pile of background removal, upscaling, batch cleanup and occasional on-model shots, it handles all of it from one subscription at $9 a month entry, with 4K native output.
